Russian is spoken by approximately 300 million people worldwide, and is the world’s eighth-most spoken language by number of native speakers. Russian is widely spreaded in Europe, Asia and Oceania.
It is one of the six official languages of the United Nations. Russian was added as a working language of the General Assembly in 1968.
